Photos from the Reunion

It's all smiles for the Walkerton area foursome of Ron Kroeplin, Tom Lang, Kevin Graf and Roger Fell who knocked off nine consecutive pars in the WDSS Reunion golf tournament as part of the "Back for the Future" weekend.

Dave Webb (Chepstow), Tom Schultz (Hanover), Steve Dentinger (Walkerton) and Tim Trushinski (Cargill) joined forces to demonstrate the multi-pupose nature of their drivers during the "Back for the Future" golf tourney for WDSS alumni at the Walkerton Golf and Curlng Club. The fun-loving foursome shot 39-35 on the par 36 course.

The serious aspect of the finer points of golf seems to have eluded Roger Shantz (Chatham), Allan Thompson (Ottawa), Ed Stengel (Kemble) and Scott Worsley (Toronto) at the WDSS reunion golf tournament. The foursome birdied hole #9, and broke 40 with a three over 39. Following the golf outing, Ed and his musical partner Ryan entertained folks as Eddie Ryan at Walker's Landing into the late hours of the evening.

Ken Coleman, brothers Rae and Norm Gamble and Larry O'Hagan capitalized on long drives and notched an eagle on the par five 5th hole, which took their foursome to minus 10 in the Texas scramble format and a share of the reunion championship.

Fun on the course was the order for the day for the fun foursome of Dawn Marie Magennis (Elora), Denise Caughy (Hanover), Nadine Anderson (Mildmay) and Angie Catalano (Cargill) at the WDSS reunion golf tournament as part of the "Back for the Future" weekend celebration of schools. Angie did Cargill proud winning the ladies longest drive award on Hole #2.

Ron Cook, Bob Creighton, Bob Lindlad and Bill Creighton used deft putting to score seven birdies on
the back nine to finish at 62, sufficient for a share of
the reunion tourney title.

Brothers Mike (Toronto), Graham (Walkerton) and Robin Taylor and Colin Pybus (Toronto) keep their "eyes in the ball" in prepatation for the Back for the Future golf scramble. The foursome birdied hole #6 twice, with Graham winning closest to the pin, enroute to shooting 69 (-3) and a tie for 4th spot in the Back for the Future golf tourney.

Truly enjoying the Back for the Future weekend WDSS reunion golf tournament were Roger Gebhardt (Hanover), Steve Huntley (Guelph), Marty Slezak (Paisley) and Paul Huntley (Kitchener) who recorded three of their five birdies on the back nine to finish at
69 (-3), tied for 4th spot in the event. Paul's company Huntley O'Hagan sponsored the closest to the pin awards.

The "Back for the Future" WDSS reunion golf tournament foursome of Connie Morrison (London), Tom Grubb (Grimsby) and Pat Flett (Port Elgin) and in front - John Thompson (Waterloo) - tallied three birdies to offset three bogies to finish at even par 72 to win the "mixed flight" at the Walkerton Golf and Curling Club.

Preparing for an adventurous "trick shot" at the WDSS reunion golf tournament, Connie Tanner (Port Elgin) lies prone with ball teed up in a potentially perilous position as sister Cindy Tanner sets up for the shot, while Paisley team-mates Janice Hodgins and Mary Ellen Teeple look on.

The "Back for the Future" WDSS reunion golf tournament Walkerton area foursome of Colleen "Cork" Fell, Kathy Weiler, Marg Lang and Angie Graf were all smiles in placing 2nd in the ladies flight, shooting 41 (+5). Marg, from Chepstow, unleashed a beautiful tee shot on hole #6 that won the "closest to the pin" competition and resulted in the ladies notching a birdy on the hole at the Walkerton Golf & Curling Club.

Birdies twice on Hole #5 by Randy Hughes, Jim Yundt, Tim Hawkins and Charlie Cleland offset a pair of bogeys to get the Walkerton-Kincardine foursome into red numbers with a 71 (-1) at the "Back for the Future" golf tourney.

Five birdies more than offset a pair of bogeys for Roy Mullen (Walkerton), Jim Schmidt (Unionville), Jack Pearson (Owen Sound) and Frank Schmidt (Etobicoke) as the foursome finished at 69 (-3) and a share of 4th spot in the Back for the Future WDSS reunion golf tournament.

It wasn't all serious golf for Richard Schafer (Walkerton), perched on the shoulders of Mike Vandenberg (Walkerton) and flanked by team-mates Terri Evans (Hanover) and Jason Whitehead (Walkerton). The lads golfed well, with eight birdies and a single bogey to finish at 65 (-7), good for third spot in the Back for the Future tournament.

This octet of golfing friends cleaned up nicely after the WDSS reunion tournament in preparation for the "Back for the Future" dinner for 1950s/1960s alumni. Left to right - Claude & Kim Doughty (Huntsville); Carol (Jasper) & Russell Powadiuk (Bayfield); Mary Ellen & Tom Jasper (Goderich) and Kris (Harris) & Jim Milne (Durham). The guys birdied Hole #4 to finish at 35 (-1) while the gals scrambled their way to a 43 (+7).
